About the route

Because of the rapidly changing political situation in parts of the world, we have several potential routes. We plan to start on the North Cape, continue through Finland and Russia, and finally follow the east coast of Africa either via Egypt or Saudi-Arabia.

The Middle East and Africa is an area that most bicyclists try to avoid, since poverty and conflict dominate the media portrayal of the region. We want to focus on the fact that there are some fantastic places in this part of the world that definitely are worth a visit. At the same time one cannot deny that the Middle East and Africa will be challenging to bicycle through, but this does make it even more of an adventure.
