Name: Øyvind Nystad Handberg
Born: 1986, Bodø, Norway

On the right side you can see Øyvind. He is 22 years old and even though he might look like a schmuck; he is actually an ok guy. He likes his tea warm and his environment clean, but he isn’t that fond of injustice. After he finished his military service in 2006 he therefore started studying International Development at the University of Oslo. Three years and some knowledge later he is good to go and wants to meet the world. Because bicycling is the best means of transportation, and he together with Andreas has talked about a Cape to Cape trip for three years, there was little doubt about what needed to be done. He has previously wandered around in minefields in Bosnia, met oppressed Sahrawians in Morocco, worked for the IUCN in Washington DC, got lost in the jungle of Ecuador, and played with lions in Southern Zambia. He is, however, dreadfully curios on how the bike trip will end…
